For the given pair of equation kx+3y= -7
and 2x+6y= -14 to have infinitely many solution ,
the value of k should be 1 .Is the statement is true?​

Just put k = 1 and find out!

x + 3y + 7 = 0 ——(i)

2x + 6y + 14 = 0 ——(ii)

Now,

ratio of coefficients:

½ = 3/6 = 7/14

½ = ½ = ½

It will be a coincident line and have infinite solutions.

So, k = 1 will give ∞ solutions.

Therefore True.
