Comparing given equation with standard form

i.e ax²+bx+c=0

Therefore,

3x²+2x-1=0

a=3,b=2,c=-1

 {3x}^{2}  + 2x - 1 \:  = 0

now general equation for a quadratic equation is

a {x}^{2}  + bx + c = 0

on comparing we get

a=3, b=2, c=-1
