*The Evening Train*
For the past one year, Sherry had been coming to Gate No. 4 of Hula City Centre Metro Station. In every evening, as the passengers from the metro trains got out of the gates, he would stare at the empty gates. As if he had been looking for someone.
He had been doing this for six years for her Chandni. Chandni was his classmate and the bestest friend, he ever had. She was the coldest moon and the brightest star in his universe. But everything changed so easily.
The final exam of class ten was near. Sherry loved Chandni from the beginning. One evening Sherry met Chandni in the Square where they used to come and had fun.
Sherry : Chandni, I want to say something to you.
Chandni : Sher, why are you babbling? Say what you got. Then I will give you a surprise.
Sherry got excited to know. But he didn't know that hearing that would give him a heartbreak. He said to her, ''Tell me first. Then I will tell you mins.''
Chandni agreed and said, ''Rahul propsed me and I said 'yes'.''
Sherry couldn't believe his ears. Though his sound was patient : Wow! Rahul is so lucky to have you as his girlfriend.
Days were passing. The two best friends became unknown. Chandni's phone was always busy. There was no room for Sherry.
Days passed. Exam started. Exam ended. Everything was happening very fast, though time for Sherry had stopped.
That evening, it was time for Chandni to leave the town and go to Mumbai for higher education. She called Sherry to 'goodbye' her. But Sherry didn't come.
When the train had left the station, Sherry came in tears. But it was too late. Chandni was gone!
Since then Sherry came every evening with a hope.
