Given:

  • y = 80x - 4x²

To find:

  • Rangle of projectile ?

Calculation:

Range of a projectile is the X axis displacement of the 2D motion (i.e. projectile)

Now, for range, the body starts from ground and ends at ground, such that Y displacement should be zero.

Putting value of y = 0

y = 80x - 4 {x}^{2}

 \implies \: 0 = 80x -4  {x}^{2}

 \implies \: 4 {x}^{2}  = 80x

 \implies \: 4 x = 80

 \implies \:  x = 20 \: m

So, range of projectile is 20 metres.
