for the same angle of incidencein media A,B and C,the angle of refraction are 20 degree,30 degree and 40 degree respectively.In which medium will the velocity of light be maximum and why?

In the third medium the velocity of light wiil be more bcoz it has more angle incidence and reflection.

When the light is travelling from denser to rarer medium the ray will refract away from the medium and move with greater velocity ( coz if the medium is rarer like air it will move faster if we compare with denser medium like water (in comparison with air)

And if it moves away from the normal obviously it will make a greater angle.

So if we take the given case:

Refraction angle C has the higher degree so it will travel faster than rest two.
