The velocity should be halved

Initial mass, m1=m, initial velocity=v1

Final mass, m2=4m, final velocity=v2

So, for kinetic energy to remain constant,

1/2m1v1² =1/2m2v2²

1/2mv1² = 1/2×4m×v2²

or, v2²=1/4v1²

or, v2= 1/2v1
