Heya!!!

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

------------------------------------------------

As per the K, L, M, N rule,
K shell can only hold two electrons.
And it is given that there are 3 electrons present in L shell.
Thus total no. of 'm' = 2+3 =5

HOPE IT HELPS!!!

Mouse12: can u explain more please
ashi2203: what confusion u have??
Mouse12: i can't understand the explanation
Mouse12: can u explain in more detail plz
ashi2203: u know that k she'll can only hold 2 electrons and L she'll can hold 8 electrons
ashi2203: it is given that that there are only 3 electrons in L shell
ashi2203: remember we can't proceed further until the preceding shell is filled... it means K shell is filled.... means we already have two electrons and 3 is in L shell... so in total we have 2+3 = 5electrons
