In helicopters, GPS is used for navigation. Even some Garmin's GPS show weather. And in some helicopters, TCAS system is in GPS i.e. GPS shows the air traffic which is under the 40nm radar of that chopper.

Have a Nice Time On Brainly!!

SSPS: yes
Amaninder24: Its same like that! You have option of flying from one place to another via some selected waypoints
SSPS: So it tells our location with respect to the other things or routes of the ground as well as air
Amaninder24: It tells our current location, our speed and nearest airbase available
SSPS: can it be used at a low altitude accurately
Amaninder24: like If I wanna fly from Delhi to Chandigarh, Delhi's code is VIDP and Chandigarh's code is VICG. I will just select *Direct to* and will enter VICG. Then it will show me where to go. Once done, there is a switch. I will click that and my chopper will fly according to gps rather than manual heading.
Amaninder24: GPS Shows everything accurately, either you are at 5 ft, or at 500ft
Amaninder24: but using autopilot at low altitude is not recommended.
SSPS: ohkk thank u very much for helping me. Thnx
Amaninder24: I am glad I could. If you need any help, inbox me ^_^ I wanna become a pilot.
