Correct Question :-

Find the value of θ , if sinθ = cosθ .

Solution :-

Given ,

sinθ = cosθ

Method 1 :-

As we know that

  • sin45° = 1/√2
  • cos45° = 1/√2

Here , the value of θ in sin45° & cos45° is equal and the values 1/2 & 1/2 are equal .

So ,

θ = 45°

Method 2 :-

→ sinθ = cosθ

It can be written as

→ sinθ = 1 × cosθ

→ sinθ/cosθ = 1

→ tanθ = 1

[ °.° sinA/cosA = tanA ]

Substituting 1 = tan45°

→ tanθ = tan45°

θ = 45°

Hence , θ = 45°
