ax+8y=a

 \frac{a1}{a2}  =  \frac{b1}{b2}  =  \frac{c1}{c2}

comparing this we get

 \frac{2}{a}  =  \frac{a}{8}  =  \frac{8}{a}

 \frac{2}{a}  =  \frac{a}{8} ..... \frac{a}{8}  =  \frac{8}{a}

a {}^{2}  = 16.....a {}^{2}  = 64

a =  \sqrt{16} ......a =  \sqrt{64}

a = 4.....a = 8
