As ( x + 2 ) divides the given equation without leaving any remainder,

( x + 2 ) = 0

x = -2

Hence,

=> 2(-2)³ - h(-2)² + 5(-2) + 9 = 0

=> -16 - 4h - 10 + 9 = 0

=> -17 -4h = 0

=> -17/4 = h

OmGitte: I am also getting the same answer that is -17 by 4 but when we divide f of X by X + 2 then it is not coming zero
abhi569: Put the correct values and try once again
OmGitte: tried a lot
OmGitte: it's in vain
