Hey mate!!

First of all,
HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN!

Here's your answer!!

Given that:
x = (-4) ..... (1)
p (x) = x^2 - x -2k - 2 ..... (2)

Putting (1) in (2), we get;
 { (- 4)}^{2}  - ( - 4) - 2k - 2 = 0 \\ =  >  16 + 4 - 2k  = 2 \\  =  > 20 - 2 = 2k \\  =  > 18 = 2k \\  \\  =  >  \frac{18}{2}  = k \\  \\  =  > 9 = k

Hope it helps!!!
