Step-by-step explanation:

3x+y=5

The simplest solution is x=1 and y=2.

Now, put (1,2) in other Equation.

k(1)-2(2)=3

k-4=3

k=7

Note:

You cannot assume x=0 and y=5 because if you put x=0 then it results is k(0)=0 where you cannot find k. So, I chose (1,2) as the solution.

Thank you

Answer:k not equal to -6

Step-by-step explanation:

For intersecting lines , a1/a2 not equal to b1/b2

Here, a1=k, a2=3 b1=-2, b2=1

Therefore, k/3 not equal to -2/1

=> k not equal to -6
