Here is your answer :

4x^2-12x-k =0
By using b^2-4ac we will get
( 12)^2-4×4×k=0
144-16k=0
16k=-144
k=144/16
k=9
I hope this answers will help you.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If they dont have real roots

Then D=0

b^2 - 4ac=0

(12)^2 - 4(4)(k) =0

144-16k=0

k=9

sanjayjisa: Is it is - 9
poorviagarwal14: +9
poorviagarwal14: 144-16k=0
poorviagarwal14: -16k=-144
poorviagarwal14: Minus will be cutter
poorviagarwal14: Cutter*
poorviagarwal14: Cutted*
poorviagarwal14: 16k=144
poorviagarwal14: k=9
logan0072: no +9
