Step-by-step explanation:

equal zeros can exists only when DISCRIMINANT(D) =b^2-4ac=0

in given quadratic equation a=1,b=-4k,c=4k

therefore b^2-4ac=(-4k)^2-4(1)(4k)=0

16k^2-16k=0

16k^2=16k

16k=16

k=16/16=1

k=1

THEREFORE YOUR ANSWER IS 1.

I hope you are satisfied by my answer.
