3x²+4x+2k
3x²+4x-4
then
by hit and trial method
x=1
3(1)²+4(1)-4
=3
x=-2
3(-2)²+4(-2)-4
12-8-4
=0
then
zero of polynomial is -2
3x²+4x-4
then

x=1
3(1)²+4(1)-4
=3
x=-2
3(-2)²+4(-2)-4
12-8-4
=0
then
zero of polynomial is -2

Hey.......!!! here is ur answer......
Here...... Given that polynomial is
3x²+4x+2k..........(1)
and the zero of this polynomial is –2
then we know that on putting x = –2 the solution of this polynomial will be 0.
Now, on putting x = –2 in equation (1)
=> 3(–2)²+4(–2)+2k = 0
=> 3×4–8+2k = 0
=> 12–8+2k = 0
=> 4+2k = 0
=> 2k = –4
=> k = –2 «««««Ans.
thus the required value of k = –2
I hope it will help you........✌️✌️✌️
