Here is your answer,

Since 3 is the zero , substitute it in place of x.

2x^2 + x + k =0
2(3)^2 + 3 + k=0
2x9+3+k=0
18 + 3 +k=0
21+k=0
k=-21

F(x)=2x²+x+k
F(3)=2*3²+3+k=0
Or. 18+3+k=0
Or k=-21
