we know that quadratic eqn is of type:
➡️ax² + bx + c where a , b, c are constant..
here we can see that degree of this eqn is 2
so if degree of 2 is removed then it's not be a quadratic.
now according to question.
➡️ (k²-4)x² + 2x - 9 = 0
now degree 2 can only be removed if coefficient of x² is zero..
==> (k²-4) = 0
=> k² = 4
=> k = √4 = ±2
so required value of k = ± 2 ans.
