We know that d will be same for a given AP
Therefore
d= second term - first term
= 3x+k-x ..........(i)
Also
d= third term- second term
= 3x+6-(3x+k)........(ii)
From (i) and (ii) we get
3x+k-x=3x+6-3x-k
=>k=-x
