Step-by-step explanation:

a1 = k , b1 = 4 , c1 = -5

a2 =4 , b2 = 8 , c2 = -3

we know the equation have no solution when

a1/a2 = b1/b2 not equal to c1/c2

K/4 = 4/8

or , 8k = 16 ( by cross multiplication method )

or , k = 16/8

or , k = 2

Given Equation

⇒kx + 4y - 5 = 0             (i)

⇒4x + 8y - 3 = 0              (ii)

To Find The value of k

Condition

⇒Given Equation has no Solution

So know that

⇒a₁/a₂ = b₁/b₂ ≠ c₁/c₂

We have

⇒a₁ = k , b₁ = 4 and c₁ = -5

⇒a₂ = 4 , b₂ = 8 and c₂ = -3

So put the value on

⇒a₁/a₂ = b₁/b₂

⇒k/4 = 4/8

⇒k/4 = 1/2

using Cross Multiplication , we get

⇒2k = 4

⇒k = 4/2

⇒k = 2
