In general, if 3 consecutive terms are in A.P, Then the mean of first and last terms equal to middle term,

That is, If a,b,c are 3 consecutive terms of A.P, Then, (a+c)/2 = b,

To find the value of k, Just apply the above formula,
=> (k+9+2k+7)/2 = 2k-1,
=> 3k+16 = 4k-2 (Multiplied both the equations by 2),
=> 18 = 4k-3k,
=> 18 = k,

Therefore if k+9, 2k-1, 2k+7 need to be 3 consecutive terms of A.p, Then the value of k should be 18,

Hope you understand, Have a great day! ,
Thanking you, Bunti 360!
