for what value of k will the following equation have infinitly many sollution 2x-3y =7 and (k+1)x+(1-2k) y =5k - 4

Answer:

for infinitely many solutions,the given lines should be coincident.

and the condition for coincident is that;

the ratios of coefficient of x, coefficient of y and the constant terms should be equal.

thus ,here we may take;

=> 2/(k+1)=-3/(1-2k)

=> 2(1-2k) = -3(k+1)

=> 2-4k=-3k -3

=> k= 5
