for infinitely many solutions,

the ratios of cofficient of x , coefficient of y and the constant terms should be equal.

thus for the given equations to be coincident.

2/(k+1) = -3/(1-2k) = 7/(5k -4)

when we take,

=>2/(k+1) = 7/(5k -4)

then ,

=> 2(5k-4)=7(k+1)

=> 10k-8=7k+7

=> 3k=15

=> k=5
