For what value of k x+1 is a factor of 2x^3-3x^2+7k-6

Answer :-

If x+1 is a factor of the polynomial, then

x = - 1 is the zero of polynomial

Substituting the value of x in the polynomial,

2(-1)³ - 3(-1)² + 7k - 6 = 0

-2 - 3 + 7k - 6 = 0

7k - 11 = 0

k = 11/7

Therefore the value of k is 11/7
