Answer:

If one zero of this polynomial is 1

it means x= 1, satisfy the polynomial

now 1^2+7(1)+k+1=0

1+7+k+1=0

9+k=0 K=-9

Answer;

one of the polynomial zero is 1 then,

p(x) =x2+7x+(k+1)

p(1) =1^2+7*1+(k+1) =0

=1+7+k+1=0

=9+k=0

k=-9

so, the value for k is -9
