comparing this with ,
ax^2 + bx + c = 0
we get,
a = 1
b= 12
c= m
now,
when it is real and equal roots,
D = b^2 - 4ac
0 = (12)^2 - 4 (1) (m)
0 = 144 - 4m
- 144 = - 4m
-144/-4 = m
36 = m
