Hello Frnd

Here is your answer.

Given terms of AP as

2p + 1, 13 and 5p - 3

Since it's an AP

There fore it's difference must be common

to calculate that

 >  >  \:  a_{2}   - a_{1} \:  =  a_{3}  -  a_{2}
And here
 a_{1} = 2p + 1 \\  a_{2} = 13 \\  a_{3} = 5p - 3 \\  \\ putting \: the \: values \: in \: formula
>>> 13 - ( 2p + 1) = 5p - 3 - 13
>>> 13 - 2p - 1 = 5p - 16
>>> 12 - 2p = 5p - 16
>>> 12 + 16 = 5p + 2p
>>> 28 = 7p
>>> p = 4

hence the value of p will be 4

hope it helps
