Given equation in

7x² + tx − 3 = 0, x=2/3

x=2/3 is the solution of Given equation only if it satisfy the equation.

7 \times (\frac{2}{3} ) \:  +  t \times (\frac{2}{3} ) - 3 = 0

7 \times (\frac{4}{9} ) + t (\frac{2}{3} ) - 3 = 0

 \frac{2t}{3}  = 3 -  \frac{28}{9}

t =  \frac{ - 1}{6}
