By vertically opposite theorem we can say that the opposite angle will also be 45.
And if l is parallel to m. Then,
(5x+35)+45=180
5x+80=180
5x=100
x=20 deg...
And if l is parallel to m. Then,
(5x+35)+45=180
5x+80=180
5x=100
x=20 deg...

Hey there! ^_^
» Angle opposite of 45° is equal by vertical oppposie theorem ,and angles (5x+35)° ,45° are co-interior angles ,so the sum of them is 180°
»The sum of angles is 180°
(5x+35°)+45=180°
» 5x+80=180
» 5x=100
» x=20°
hope helped!
