Given :  a number 5/x

To find : for what value of x the no 5/x is not rational number

Solution:

A rational number can be written as  p/q

where p and q are integer

but q ≠ 0

5/x  is rational number

comparing with

p/q

p = 5

q = x

Number is rational if q ≠ 0

hence Number is not rational if q = 0

Hence x = 0

no 5/x is not rational number  if x= 0
