Solution :-
Consider a = (x - 10)°, b = (2x + 40)°..........(1)
Let /_c be vertically opposite to /_a.
/_a = /_c ............(Vertically opposite angles)
But /_a = x - 10°..........(From 1)
/_c = x - 10°
/_b + /_c = 180° .....( Interior angles)
(2x + 40)° + (x - 10)° = 180°
3x° = 180° - 30°
x = 50°.
Substiuting x,
(2x + 40)° + (x - 10)° = 180°
(2 x 50° + 40)° + ( 50° - 10)° = 180°
180° = 180°.
Line l || Line m .......(Interior angle test)
Answer :- Value of x = 50°.Hence proved.
