And,

4X + PY = -8

4X + PY + 8 = 0 ------(2)

These equations are in the form of A1X + B1Y + C1 = 0 and A2X + B2Y + C2 = 0

Where,

A1 = 2 , B1 = 2 and C1 = 2

And,

A2 = 4 , B2 = P , C2 = 8

For a unique solutions we must have,

A1 / A2 # B1/B2 [ Where # stand for not equal ]

2/4 # 2/ P

2P # 8


P # 4

Therefore,
