Answer:

a=5, b=1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equations

2x +3y=7

a(x +y)- b(x-y) = 3a +b-2

For above pair of equations to have infinite solutions

2/a-b= 3/a+b = 7/3a+b-2

2a +2b = 3a - 3b => a =5b _____(1)

7a - 7b = 6a +2b - 4 => a- 9 b = - 4 _____(2)

Solving (1 )and (2) we get b= 1, a =5

For a =5, b = 1, above pair of equations have infinite solutions
