Step-by-step explanation:

2x-1=0

x=1/2

now putting the value of x in equation we get.

2(1/2)^3+a(1/2)^2+11×1/2+a+3=0

=1/4+a/4+11/2+a+3=0

=1/4+11/2+3+a+a/4=0

=(1+22+12)/4+(4a+a)/4=0

=35/4+5a/4=0

=(35+5a)=0

=5a=-35

=a=-7

Answer:

-7

Explanation:-

(2X-1)

Given polynomial :-

p(X)= 2X³ + a² + 11X + a + 3

(2X-1)÷ p(X)

so, p(X) = 0

(2X -1)=0

X=1/2

Now,

P(X) = 2X³ + ax² + 11X + a + 3

{2(1/2)³ + a(1/2)² + 11(1/2)+a +3}=0

2/8 +. a/4 + 11/2 + a + 3=0

2 + 2a + 44 + 8a + 24 ÷ 8

10a + 70 = 0

a = -7
