When light travels from one medium to another medium, if the angle of incidence is equal to polarizing angle or Brewsterangle reflected rays from the boundary will be planepolarized. For this angle of incidence reflected ray andrefracted ray will be mutually perpendicular to each other.

If light strikes an interface so that there is a 90o angle between the reflected and refracted rays, the reflected light will be linearly polarized.
