To know which figure is more longer, We need to find it's perimeter.
a. Perimeter of Semicircle= Pie × r + d
= 22/7 × 1.4 + 2.8
= 22 × 0.2 + 2.8
= 4.4 + 2.8
= 7.2cm.
perimeter of first figure = 7.2 + 4
= 11.2cm.

b.perimeter of semicircle = 7.2 cm ( see above).
c. Perimeter of semicircle excluding diameter= pie × R
= 22/7 × 1.4
= 22 × 0.2
= 4.4cm
Perimeter of rectangle excluding one side of length= l + 2b
= 2.8 + 2 × 1.5
= 2.8 + 2.25
= 5.05cm.
Total perimeter = 5.05 + 4.4
= 9. 45cm.
So, figure A is having a longer path.
