Singhbhum was a district of India during the British Period. Singhbhum district was a part of Chhota Nagpur Division of Bengal Presidency. The Singhbhum district has been divided into three smaller districts, being East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela Kharsawan. These three districts are part of Jharkhand state.
