Harappa developed near Indus river bcoz of many reasons few are listed below:-

1. Water is required for farming which was abundunt in Indus river therefore they did flood supported farming which led to agricultural surpluses and development in cities.

2. They used boats to travel to other places for trade which was easier bcoz of Indus river
