Here, A1=2, B1=3, C1=7
And, A2=a-b, B2=a+b, C2=3a+b-2

For an equation to have infinite number of solutions,
A1/A2=B1/B2=C1/C2

I.e. 2/a-b=3/a+b=7/3a+b-2

2a+2b=3a-3b
This implies, a=5b

Also, 3/a+b=7/3a+b-2
This implies, 9a+3b-6=7a+7b
2b-4b=6
2b-20b=6
b=-3

a=-15

sachinkumar12431: you have done mistake at very last of the question.....
ridhik: Oops. Yes
ridhik: a=1, b=5
