Champaran, to help the peasants against oppressive plantation system. In kheda, Gandhiji helped Gujarati peasants affected by crop failure who were unable to pay the revenue and wanted the taxes to be relaxed. In Ahmedabad, Gandhiji organised a movement amongst cotton mill workers.
