Given:

  • A Polynomial: x^2-3x+5

To Find:

  • The value of the polynomial when x = 0.

Solution:

We should actually substitute the value of x = 0 for the given polynomial and solve the same.

x^2-3x+5

Now substitute the value of x as 0 we get,

0^2-3(0)+5

Multiplication of any number to zero is always zero and the square of zero is also zero

⇒ 0-0+5 = 5  { addition of any number with zero gibes us the same number added.}

∴ The value of the polynomial x^2-3x+5 = 5
