Angular momentum comprises of orbital and spin angular momentum. oam is given as(√[l(l+1)] h)/2π where l is azimuthal quantum number.

here for f-electron l=3

hence, Angular momentum will be (√[3(3+1)] h)/2π =  ([√12] h)/2π

: The angular momentum (mvr) of electron in nth orbit is equal to nh/2π. Note: nh/2π gives angular momentum of electron revolving in a circular orbit as proposed by Neils Bohr. However orbital angular momentum of electron in a given orbital is calculated by using the following equation.
