Force between two magnetic dipole ∝ (1/r4)

∴ (F2/F1) = (r1/r2)4

Given  r1 = r

r2 = 2r  

F1 = 4.8 N

F2 = 4.8 × (r/2r)4 = 4.8 × (1/16)

F2 = 0.3 N

Thus the force between the bars is reduced to 0.3 N
