force is a vector quantity, is the work done by a force also a vector quantity?

work done due to displacement caused by a force is a scalarquantity. The dot product of vectorquantities is always scalar which means it is has only magnitude and no direction.

vector quantity has both magnitude and direction..... but work doesn't have
