Force is defined as RATE OF CHANGE OF MOMENTUM.

  • Force is a vector quantity characterized by the product of mass and acceleration vector of the object.

  • However, as per NEWTON'S 2ND LAW OF MOTION, force is define as the rate of change of linear momentum with respect to time.

Mathematically, it is written as :

 \boxed{P =  \dfrac{\Delta F}{\Delta t}}

  • That is why we say : Higher the rate of change of momentum, higher will be the force, and vice-versa.

  • OPTION 2) IS CORRECT ✔️.
