Given conditions

Force (F) applied to stop the car = 1000 N

Distance covered (d) by the car after the force applied = 10 m

Work done by the force to stop the car = Force applied on the car × Distance covered by it after the force is applied

W = F × d

W = 1000 × 10

W = 10000 J or 10 kJ
