Velocity = 50 m/s and distance covered = 250 m

Explanation:

Because , the force F = m x a

Thus acceleration a of body = F/m = 20/4 = 5 m/s²

The relation to calculate velocity in mechanics

v = u + a t  ,  here u is the initial velocity , a is the acceleration and t is the time for which the force is applied .

Therefore v = 0 + 5 x 10 = 50 m/s      [ The body is at rest , thus u = 0 ]

The distance covered by the body in 10 seconds can be found by relation

s = u t + 1/2 a t²

Substituting the values in above equation

s = 0 + 1/2 x 5 x ( 10 )² = 250 m
