Answer

  • F₁ = 15 N , F₂ = 16 N

Given  and To Find

  • Force required in accelerating
  • a) 3 kg mass at 5 m/(s^2) and
  • b) 4 kg mass at 4 m/(s^2),  will be

Solution

A/c , Newton's Second Law ,

We know that , " Force is defined as the product of mass and acceleration "

a )

Mass , m = 3 kg

Acceleration , a = 5 m/s²

Force , F = ma

⇒ F = 3 × 5

⇒ F = 15 kg-m/s²

F = 15 Newtons

b )

Mass , m = 4 kg

Acceleration , a = 4 m/s²

⇒ F = 4 × 4

F = 16 Newtons
