Forest act as a flood control in many ways :--->
Forest stopped water to cut out land as it's root catch the most part of soil strongly .
It provides particular direction to flow water if it is in side by side of river and sea .
it also absorb water which is eveporated and used by them .

Forest cover reduces the intensity of floods. The roots of the plants hold on firmly to the soil deep inside the surface of the earth. This prevents flooding and soil erosion.
