forest's effect on the ecosystem on 50 words

hi mate
here's your answer
Because forest serve as a source and sink for carbon emissions. Let's put it this way, imagine a forest as a bank vault and carbon emission as money, the more bank vaults we have the more money we can store in them especially when the money is so much its beginning to cause problems in the environment. People cutting down forests is the same as blowing up a bank vault, the contents comes flying out. An example is what happened at lake ryoun (the spelling might be incorrect) at Cameroon where thousands died in their sleep due to the sudden emission of the carbon gas that it had been storing to a long time. You can read up on it, while you're at it read up on carbon sequestration. Basically forests store lots of carbon in the soil. We have excess carbon in our atmosphere so it makes sense to plant forests which can remove the carbon from out environment and store it in the soil beneath them. Of course if you ever cut down that forest you're going to have a rapid emission of the carbon stored. I hope you understand
